Ch 31 A special morning

It’s time to start getting used to life in a new school year.

Personally, I would be happy if it came a little later in the long vacation – Golden Week is here.

This year, there will be ten consecutive holidays, so many people must be planning long trips.

I feel that such a break will make my school life a bit unfamiliar after Golden Week again.

Well, there is no point in worrying about that.

On the first day of Golden Week, I spent the rest of the day completing school assignments, and on the second day I spent the rest of the day reading the rest of the assignments and the books I had bought to read for a while.

Of course, there is a reason why I was able to finish those assignments so quickly, which I usually spend the entire long vacation finishing it slowly.

It was so that I could fully enjoy the events of today, the third day of Golden Week.

–So, on the morning of the third day.

I was looking down at the clothes I had taken out of the closet and laid them out on my bed, tilting my head to the side.

Today, of all days, was the day that I was going to go to the amusement park with Ageha, whom I had promised to go with me.

To borrow a phrase from Ageha, this is unmistakably a date.

I was immensely worried about what I was going to wear today.

…Normally, this sort of thing would be more of a problem for girls, but well, it’s the same for men to want to dress up in front of someone they like.

Also, if the destination is an amusement park that looks like a date, I’m more fired up than usual.

“No, wait, I’m afraid I’ll make a fool of myself if I’m too overdressed.”

I can just see her teasing me with a smirk on her face, “Are you looking forward to today, by any chance?”

In the end, I decided to wear jeans, a white shirt, and a black short-sleeved shirt over it.

After putting my clothes away in the closet, I looked at the calendar on my study desk.

Today’s date is marked with a double circle.

Today isn’t the first time I’ve been to an amusement park with Ageha, but in the past, their parents, not to mention Karen, have come with her.

Naturally, this was the first time for the two of us to be alone at an amusement park.

Suddenly, I looked out the window and saw that the sky was beginning to turn white.

The meeting place is a local train station.
The meeting time is exactly nine o’clock.

There was still some time left, so I went down to the kitchen to have a cup of coffee to wake up from sleepiness.

The sound of boiling water echoes in the quiet kitchen.

I put two spoonfuls of instant powder from the jar into my mug and pour hot water over it.

As I stir the coffee, its distinctive aroma tickles my nostrils, and that alone eases my drowsiness somewhat.

After making sure the powder is completely dissolved, I take a sip.

“… Ugh.”

With a scowl on my face, I sat down on the living room couch, mixing two sugars and one milk.

As I sipped the still bitter coffee, I regretted that I should have chosen cocoa after all.

Basically, I love drinking cocoa, even in the summer.

It’s like drinking chocolate, and it always tastes good.

With this in mind, I quickly sort out my schedule for the day.

I take out the phone in my pocket and launch Nyain.

When I opened up the talk screen of Ageha, I saw the message sent to me last night.

A quick summary of what was written there goes like this.

Meet at the station at nine o’clock and then take the train to the amusement park, which takes a little over an hour.

We have lunch at a restaurant or something in the park, play on the attractions until the evening, and then head home.

It’s spring and it’s getting dark little by little, but I still can’t let the girl go home alone this late, so I take her home.

It’s a normal plan.

I look at the wall clock.

Only about ten minutes have passed since a few minutes ago.

“I wish the time would hurry up.”

I was embarrassed by my own words as I muttered to myself.

I felt like a child on a field trip.

I still have some time left, and I wonder if I should change my clothes and go back to bed.

As I was pondering this, I felt my phone tremble.

I looked at it and saw a message from Ageha.

“Good morning, Haru-kun!”

“… You wake up too early”

With a wry smile, I sent a message by flick input.

“Good night.”
