“You’re saying then, that you and Leisha have been monitoring me all this time in order to find out why I was summoned?”  

 

In Shien’s room, after Lasha had explained why she showed up here, Shien was speechless.  

 

“Yes.”  Lasha was as emotionless as always, “Milady believed that there’s definitely some reason behind the Hero Summoning being activated, and since Mister Shien is the Hero, you are definitely at the center of it all.  Plus, add to the fact that you’ve destroyed a branch of the Old Demon Faction, the gods, demons, and mortals will all have their attention on you, so there’s a good chance that something might happen around you, which could likely end up drawing something out.  That’s why we’ve been following behind and watching Mister Shien the whole time.  

 

Leisha wasn’t the only one doing that either.  Airi was the same.  

 

Only, Airi didn’t do all this in secret like Leisha did.  Instead, she simply stayed by Shien’s side the whole time.  

 

Plus, what Airi wanted to see wasn’t what might happen around Shien.  She just wanted to know what Shien himself will do.  

 

Thus, before reaching the Capital, Airi and Leisha had separated.  One moved in the light while the other stayed in the dark, but both remained around Shien.  

 

“You guys really are bored then.”  Shien spoke somewhat unhappily, “Even though you’re the ones being pursued, you still have the time and energy to pay so much attention to me.”  

 

Shien rather does dislike this whole thing.  

 

Likely, nobody would be happy with being secretly monitored without themselves knowing.  

 

Especially when the person in question is someone skilled in spatial magic like Leisha.  There’s no telling just how far her monitoring goes.  

 

It can’t be that he’s been observed even when he’s bathing or sleeping, right?  

 

Wouldn’t that mean that his thing with that cutie Diere has been found out then?  

 

Plus, it can’t be that they’ve also seen that he was forced to take care of himself afterwards, right?

When he thought that, Shien’s mood dropped.  He even kind of wanted to kill someone.  

 

If Leisha appeared before Shien right now, then Shien could definitely rip her head off.  

 

Unfortunately though, something’s happened to that girl.  

 

“Based on your words, last night, the Leisha girl had discovered something, so she just left instructions for you to seak out Shien if she doesn’t return.  Then, she hurriedly left using spatial magic?”  

 

From the side, Airi, who had been listening to Lasha go through the entire event, finally spoke up.  

 

“Yes.”  Lasha’s eyes drooped, but she continued to speak with a calm expression, “Therefore, I waited here for Mister Shien to return.”  

 

That’s how it was.  

 

In other words…  

 

“Something happened around you yesterday that drew that girl’s attention and lured her in then.  And then, that girl didn’t come back.”  

 

Airi turned around to look at Shien.  

 

“Do you have some idea about this?”  

 

Airi’s question made Shien fall silent.  

 

He really did have some idea.  

 

After all, if it’s yesterday, Shien did in fact end up encountering quite a few things.

Of course, if one really had to speak of it, it was really just two things.  

 

“Yesterday, I encountered a half human, half centipede monster with dragon wings and is able to breath dragon breath.”  

 

Shien considered it a moment before taking a look at Airi.  Then he chose to reveal that matter.  

 

“After that, I was summoned up by the goddess who summoned me.  That was also something that happened yesterday.”  

 

Shien’s words made the two individuals with him both react.  

 

“The goddess who summoned the Hero…”  

 

Lasha’s eyes flashed.  

 

“A half man, half centipede monster with dragon wings and is able to breath dragon breath?”  Airi suddenly frowned deeply and spoke with a very disgusted tone, “You can’t have encountered…”  

 

Airi suddenly stopped herself in the middle of her words, but the disgust on her face not only did not go away it instead even deepened.  In the end, it even turned into cold hatred.  

 

“What?”  Shien noticed that and so asked, “Do you know of that monster?”  

 

“…  I do.”  Airi actually let out a tsk before continuing, “It’s the disgrace of the demon race.  A hateful product that steps on our pride.  I didn’t think that it had finally appeared in the mortal world.”  

 

Airi did not continue after reaching that point.  Instead, she moved on like she didn’t want to continue discussing it.  

 

“In that case then, after you defeated that monster, you were summoned by the goddess who summoned you that night.  Those are the things that happened to you yesterday, right?”  

 

Airi forcibly changed the subject.  

 

Shien rather wanted to learn more, but with how Airi is looking right now, she obviously doesn’t want to say anymore, so there’s nothing he can do about it either.

Thus, Shien could only nod.  

 

Airi understood as well.  

 

“Things have finally gotten a bit clearer.”  Airi spoke, “That Leisha girl was hiding nearby in order to investigate why your were summoned, so she must have discovered the fact that you were summoned by the mastermind behind your summoning.  That’s why she acted and left right after you did.”  

 

The meaning behind Airi’s words were clear.  

 

“That lady or yours should have used spatial magic to hook herself to Shien’s summoning and ended up running straight over to the goddess who did the Hero summoning.”  Airi hmphed, “Truly reckless.  She actually dared to go to the divine realm.  In that case then, it’s no wonder that she can’t get back.”  

 

Lasha fell silent.  

 

“That guy actually did something like that.  Really, that’s way too suicidal of her.”  

 

Shien never imagined that’s how things were, so he didn’t know what to say for the time being either.  

 

As a demon, and being formerly of the Old Demon Faction and a criminal wanted by the Kingdom at that, for Leisha to actually dare to run off to the divine realm.  She seriously has to be tired of living.  

 

Shien could already somewhat imagine Leisha’s various tragic endings.  He could only pray for her.  

 

The only question now is if that girl’s dead or alive now.  

 

She shouldn’t be killed though, right?  

 

If she was, then that girl really is just way too unfortunate.  

 

While Shein was thinking that, Lasha was instead not all that worried.

“As for whether or not milady will be able to live on, I’m not that worried.”  Lasha spoke calmly, “Putting aside combat strength, if it’s just the ability to preserve her life or run away, milady shouldn’t lose out to anyone.  If milady really wanted to run, then not even the three great goddesses or six great demon lords will be able to keep her from escaping.”  

 

“That’s true enough.”  Airi nodded in agreement, “That girl’s unique skill is very powerful.  Coupled with her spatial magic, if she just wanted to escape, then likely no one is capable of actually catching her.”  

 

“What do we do now then?”  Shien blinked and asked, “Just ignore her then?”  

 

“What do you want to do then?”  Airi instead questioned back, “Go to the divine realm and ask for her?”  

 

…  If he actually had the capability to do that, then would he have needed to put so much effort into hiding his identity?  

 

Seriously.  

 

Looking at the speechless Shien, Airi continued on without a care.  

 

“For now, it’s best to not do anything reckless.  Watch and wait for a bit.  Maybe that girl will end up running back on her own.”  

 

With that, Airi stood up, gave Lasha a glance, before speaking up again with a cold yet complicated tone.  

 

“As for you, stay here for the time being.  Compared to that Lasha girl, your safety instead requires more attention.”  

 

With those final words, Airi turned about and left.  

 

Shien watched Airi as she left before then looking at Lasha.  

 

“Sigh.”  Shien let out a sigh, “Since things are already like this, just stay here for now then.”  

 

Lasha was quiet for a bit.  

 

Then, she nodded.
