“What is it?” There was a hint of nervousness in Lu Shao’s voice.

That night, after Su Ran was already settled in and sound asleep, Lu Shao’s eyes dimmed some when he saw the newest text on his phone.

It was a message from Zhou Fu.

[Zhou Fu]: Sir, I have the documents needed taken care of ready for you.
There are also some documents that need your signature for tomorrow.

Lu Shao frowned as he looked at the message from two hours ago.

[Lu Shao]: Bring them over now.
Bring to the unit next door.

It was almost 1 AM, Lu Shao’s reply that came so much later was surprising to Zhou Fu.

Luckily he had a lot of work tonight and hadn’t bathed and gone to bed yet.

Zhou Fu sighed to himself and quickly responded back to Lu Shao: Alright, I will be there in 20 minutes.

After Lu Shao had received the message back from Zhou Fu, he put his clothes on, exited the room lightly, and went over to the unit next door.

This was the first time Lu Shao had walked into the unit next door.

The room was of a colder style but also quite modern at the same time.
Lu Shao raised his brows and asked, “You were the one who decided on the style?”

“Em, yes.” Zhou Fu nodded and went on to explain, “I took Young Master’s interest into account when I decided on the style.”

Even though Mr.
Lu and his family would spend most of their time in the main resident, but it wouldn’t be bad staying over here from time to time.

And the Young Master would have his own place when he was older.

It would certainly make things easier for Mr.
and Mrs.
Lu.

Upon hearing that, Lu Shao, too, had thought about certain situations, much like the one tonight.

“Not bad.” Nodding slightly, Lu Shao gave Zhou Fu a rare look of appreciation.

“It’s my job,” said Zhou Fu as he nodded.

Giving Lu Shao a stealth look, when he noticed the faint mark on the exposed part of Lu Shao’s neck, Zhou Fang’s eyes flickered, his lips curving upward, he had a certain idea.

“Madam is resting?” Suppressing his very strong curiosity, Zhou Fu asked as casual and as careful as he could.

Why did he feel that Mr.
Lu looked like he was about to dock his pay?!

“So you’ve brought all the documents with you?” Lu Shao gave Zhou Fu a cold glance and asked.

“Yes, they are right here,” said Zhou Fu as he quickly collected himself.
He pulled out the documents from his suitcase and handed them over to Lu Shao.

Two months ago, Patriarch Lu had made a decision – to move most of the Lu family’s operations and properties back into the domestic market and to reactivate the nearly 80% of their domestic real estates that were in a dormant state.

It didn’t take a rocket science to figure out the reason behind that.

Luckily, most of the Lu, let it be external and internal, had been stabilized and, even though it was a hassle to move their operations back domestically, it would not have any negative impact.

As the patriarch, however, Lu Shao had been very busy.

These documents were slotted to be taken care of the past Friday but they waited until today.

Taking the documents that were handed over to him by Zhou Fu, Lu Shao wasted no time before he started flipping through them.

“Take this proposal back and give me an expected income and risk planning for the next 10 years.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“We will go and check out the outcome of our project in Area R next Wednesday.”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Shopping center?” Lu Shao’s stopped on a document when he saw a certain partnership proposal.

“Yes, this proposal came from Jiuyuan Corporation.
Their idea is to have something similar to Huanxiang City and build another establishment that is a combination of retail and vacational resort.” Zhou Fu looked at the document in Lu Shao’s hand and went on to explain.

After a slight pause, he added, “Judging from Jiuyuan Corporation’s plans, they planned to build out some 30 – 40 of these combination establishments in 11 nuclear cities including City S, City B, and City Z.
Their initial plan is to build two in City B for the sake of testing water.”

Zhou Fu saw Lu Shao nodding after he was done talking.
He saw Lu Shao glancing over the proposal one more time and added, “You can get back to them that we are interested in this project but we will delay the launch of this for two months.”
