0825 hours, 11 June 2003…

20 minutes has passed, and the Valusian Royal Forces keep coming in all directions to attacking this factory. Despite that, our forces still keep mowing down the incoming Valusian Royal Forces until they drop their last bloods.

This time, Im mowing down the ground forces with my bombs, missiles, and the guns like breaking a toothpick. However, that doesn mean I can just mowing them all like stomping some cockroaches, because those Ground Forces is like cockroaches that can fly through my faces and mess up my day anytime.

So all I do is point my nose right at the ground target, attack the ground target, and fly away and breaking after that.

Suddenly, I got a missile lock from the ground SAM and its about to destroy my plane.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

And then I got alerted by Wyvern-2 to evading the SAM missile.

”WYVERN-1, WATCH OUT FOR THE SAM MISSILE! AND WATCH YOUR SIX!!! ” He said through my comms channel anxiously.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPP*

When the SAM missile is about to hit my plane around 100m, I dumped flares, rolling left, decreasing my altitude around 800 feet, and fly near the ground to mowing down the Valusian Ground Forces easily.

Im on the way to the Othello Industry to checking if the ground forces damaged that factory. However, tons of AA Gunner and SAM are keep shooting at me.

”Wyvern-1! Youve got a dozen of AA Gunners and SAMs are locking at you! ” Said AWACS Capricorne.

However, I remained calm and replied.

”I don care. Ill sweep them all down! ”

Furthermore, I continued shooting down the ground forces with my missiles and bombs.

*BWOSH BWOSH*

It was a direct hit. Most of the Valusian ground forces are scorched in hell because of my missiles and my bombs. Afterwards, I followed it by shooting some guns as a cream on the crop.

*DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD*

I didn realize that Ive committed genocide toward these poor ground forces that are sprawled in the soil of bloods. Despite that, all invaders must die for the sake of protecting my homeland.

Everything went like usual until I saw another Valusian F-16 fly passing me in a split second. But this time, that F-16 differs completely from the previous one Ive faced on. Its equipped with laser-guided bombs.

After I noticed that F-16 equipped with laser-guided bombs and its speeding toward Othello Industry, I chased his lead and tries to shoot him down to preventing him from damaging that factory.

When Im following his lead while avoiding tons of AA gun projectiles and SAM missiles lock, I got a perfect lock on his tail.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPP*

Afterwards, I pressed the button and said.

”Fox-2! ”

*BWOSH*

Unfortunately, hes dumping flares and breaking to the right, evading my missile. And he did it like breaking a toothpick.

Suddenly, I realized that hes halfway toward the Othello Industry. If I don down his aircraft quickly, hell destroy that factory when hes arrives at there. Unfortunately, it doesn matter how many times I got missile lock toward that F-16, hes kept evading it like he did it previously. And that frustrated me even more.

So, I switched to the gun to shoot him down manually. Unfortunately, his flying maneuver is really hard to follow to get a perfect aim. Even hes dumping tons of flares to distract my sights. Despite that, it won stop me from trying to shoot his tail and watch him down in flames.

”Im going to do these same things toward your country if you keep doing these! ” I said to myself in frustration.

However, I was confused. Hes doesn fight back, despite the threat Ive given to him from his tail.

”Why the hell is he doesn fight back? ” I continued, confusedly.

”Is he trying to juke me? ” I continued again.

When my sight was glued to that F-16, I got a call from AWACS Capricorne.

”Wyvern-1! Shoot that plane right now before hes arrived at the Othello Industry and destroying that factory with his laser-guided bombs! ”

”Im on his tail! ” I replied to him.

Suddenly, I got a missile lock warning on my system. And when Im looking back, I saw a Valusian Mirage tailing me while Im tailing that Valusian F-16 in front of me.

”Warning, missile! Warning, missile! ”

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

”Wyvern-1! Watch out for the bandit on your six! ” AWACS Capricorne continued anxiously.

I wanted to break left or right, unfortunately Im running out of flares because Ive dumped my flares when fighting against the ground SAMs.

”Warning, missile! Warning, missile! ”

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPP*

All hopes seem lost and Im ready to eject from my plane, when my plane is decimated by that Mirage in my tail. Until someone destroyed that Valusian Mirage in my tail.

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM*

It surprised me that someone saved my life as if someone was repaying my previous deed. After a few seconds, Wyvern-2 approached my left side and asked through my comms channel.

”Hey Wyvern-1! Can you hear me? ”

It slightly surprised me looking at Wyvern-2 came to helping me because I thought hes busy taking care of the enemy ground forces with Pegasi squadrons.

”Wyvern-2! Can you help me destroy that pesky fighter? ” I asked him in a hurry.

”Whats wrong with that? ” He asked back.

”Hes on the way to destroying the Othello Industry with his laser-guided bomb! ” I answered.

”Ok, lets get going! ”

Furthermore, me and Wyvern-2 chasing down that Valusian F-16 whos carrying laser-guided bomb and on his way to destroy Othello Industry.

This time, I got a missile lock toward his tail and shoot my last missile before moving into the gun.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

”Fox-2! ”

*BWOSH*

Unfortunately, it missed, because hes pre-flaring before I pressed my shoot button. Furthermore, I switched to the gun and tries to get a perfect aim from my crosshair to shoot him.

And after I got a perfect aim, I shoot him in a burst.

*DRRRRRRD DRRRRRRD DRRRRD*

Yet, hes kept dodging my bullet by breaking left and right. Both of us tried so hard to shooting down that Valusian F-16 with our remaining weapons, and suddenly weve got a call from AWACS Capricorne.

”Wyvern squadron, that enemy fighter is about 900m arrival toward Othello Industry! Shoot that enemy plane quickly, before hes destroying our factory with his bombs! ”

”We
e still on his tail! Unfortunately, hes tenacious as hell!! ” I replied to him in frustration.

”Keep trying! Don give up yet! ” He continued.

I tried so hard tailing him to get him right into my crosshair. But hes kept juking me by breaking left and right, to provoke me pre-firing until Im running out of ammo. And after Im running out of ammos, its his chances to shoot me down easily.

”Come on, come on, come on. Get to my crosshair, get to my crosshair! ” I said to myself frustratedly.

Suddenly, hes getting closer and closer toward that factory, around 250m, and hes still tenacious as hell to be downed on.

However, the goddess of miracle always gave me a miracle in my most difficult situation. Hes fallen down into my crosshair and its my perfect chance to shoot him down with my last bullets remaining.

”Here it is! ”

*DRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD*

And it was a direct hit.

*BOOOOOOMMMMM*

”Wyvern-1 splashed a bandit! ” Said AWACS Capricorne after he saw me downed that tenacious F-16.

I wanted to celebrate after killing that tenacious F-16. Unfortunately, I saw his plane fallen down into one of the Othello Industrys building.

”Wait… what?! ” Wyvern-2 asked anxiously.

And after that, the downed F-16 whos carrying laser-guided bombs impacted at one of that factory facility.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM*

And it makes an enormous explosion like a mini nuclear explosion.

”Holy crap! The factory! ” I said in worried when Im looking at the explosion from that factory facility.

”What the hell? Wyvern-1 accidentally destroyed the facility?! ” Wyvern-2 asked in confusion.

”Damage report on that factory! ” I said to AWACS Capricorne.

”Hold on, let me check! ” He replied.

After a few seconds checking out the damage report on that factory. AWACS Capricorne concluded.

”It seems like that plane was crashed right into the office building instead of the production facility, ” He said to me.

”Are there any casualties or important document in there? ” I asked him again.

”Negative, most of the refugees and the important document in there were evacuated into a safe place. Despite that damage, it wasn a big of a deal, ” He answered straightforwardly.

”Oh… copy… ”

The Valusian Ground Forces were successfully repelled by our squadrons. Unfortunately, the destruction of that office building in that factory still gives me a slight trauma. And Im afraid most of the pilots will accuse me as an innocent murderer.

Despite that, Im flown back into my home airbase for a mission debriefing.

”The mission was a success. Weve repelled the attacking Valusian forces thats trying to destroy our precious factory. Although the office building of that factory was crumbled by the downed Valusian plane, the casualties were remaining zero, and they secured the secret document into somewhere else, ” said the commanding officer clearly.

”However, that won stop them from trying to invading our country in various ways, ” He continued.

”Despite that, this counter attack will make them think twice before theyd dare to mess with us again. Dismissed! ”

When Im about to exiting from the briefing room after a mission debriefing, Gordon snapped my left shoulder and asked.

”Don you realize you have to take a responsibility for destroying that facility? ”

I stood still, looked at him with a cold stare, and replied.

”If you don take the chances thats existed to win the war, you don deserve to live longer, ”

Afterwards, I didn elaborate any further and leaving the briefing room.

I know that Ive accidentally destroyed that facility just to kill that tenacious F-16. But they don realize that war is about living or die. And I have to take what it takes to turn the tide of war!
