Graco Alano FlipIt Stroller

When my first child was born nearly six years ago my husband and I purchased a Graco travel system that included a matching SnugRide infant seat and LiteRider stroller. I loved the convenience of popping the seat into the seat base in the car and then into the stroller. We even purchased two additional seat bases so that both of our cars plus Grandma's were always ready to transport our little bundle of joy.

That car seat and stroller took us through two kids and we continue to use the stroller with our second child who is now almost three.

Graco sent me the Alano FlipIt Stroller in the Sachi print to test drive and preview before it hit the market. It goes on sale nationwide today, February 1, 2010. MRSP $139.99.

Strollers aren't normally a baby gear item that I have an emotional reaction to. But when I pulled the stroller from the box, I could immediately see the quality. The wheels are rugged, the frame sturdy, and the fabric thick.

Like I said, we have used the Graco LiteRider stroller for almost 6 years. That stroller has gone everywhere with us. I always recommend that stroller to friends.

What I like about the FlipIt:
  • My husband is 6 feet and I'm only 5'3". We really appreciate the adjustable handle. We can both find a comfortable handle height.
  • It stores upright meaning that if you stick it in the garage you don't have to lay it on the dirty floor.
  • The weight limit of 50 pounds means that I can use it for a longer length of time.
There's a reason why I'm a loyal Graco customer!

I think the flipping handle is genius! How many times have you been out for a stroll and the sun gets in your child's eyes when you turn the corner? How nice would it be to actually look at your child as you walk? And the handle really is easy to reverse.

Don't just take my word for it. I literally couldn't talk my son into getting out of it! We put it together during a snowstorm and he wanted a ride around the living room. Then he insisted on staying in while watching his allotted episodes of Thomas. He even ate his snack in the stroller. The next day Grandma called to ask if it was okay for him to sit in it because he was insisting!
