Pirate's Booty

I'm always on the lookout for snacks for my two children that aren't full of sugar or artificial, well, anything. Look up and down the cracker and cookie aisle and you will be quite surprised to see the ingredients listed on labels of snacks marketed towards kids.

I mean do they really need high fructose corn syrup added to everything?

I also don't want my children to have sweet tasting food at every snack. Unless of course it's fresh fruit.

My kids love crunchy foods so they were excited when Pirate's Booty sent us a treasure chest full of their snacks. Not to mention that they have been playing with the cardboard treasure chest.

Pirate's Booty comes in a slough of flavors: Barbeque, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Bermuda Onion, Aged White Cheddar, Real Wisconsin Cheddar, Veggie, and Crunchy Corn Sticks. My kids liked them all, but I think the cheese and veggie varieties were their favorites. My daughter liked the salt & vinegar, but the flavor was too intense for her to finish her bowl. I will tell you that she wanted Pirate's Booty packed in her lunch box each day, that is until we ran out.

If you are looking for healthier alternatives to the regular snack repertoire, consider Pirate's Booty. They are:
  • Made from puffed rice and corn
  • All natural
  • Baked
  • Trans fat free
  • Gluten free
  • Kosher
