LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game: Disney Fairies and LeapFrog Tag Fairies Book

My five-year-old is into TinkerBell right now. It's all about the fairies. Luckily we were ahead of the curve and decorated her room purple and green and fairies-all-over when we made the transition from a crib to a big bed.

LeapFrog has two new products that combine the Disney Fairies with learning. Isn't it great when your children can interact with a character they love and learn at the same time!

There is a new Disney Fairies book for the Tag Reading System and a game for the Leapster 2 Learning Game SystemLeapster 2 Learning Game System..

LeapFrog Leapster Learning Game: Disney FairiesLeapFrog Leapster Learning Game: Disney Fairies
(From LeapFrog:) Immerse yourself in the magical world of Disney Fairies as you help Tinker Bell and her friends collect Lost Things and rebuild toys for children on the Mainland. Features expanded play for the Leapster2 system, so Leapster2 players can connect online for extra games, activities and rewards, and parents can get detailed learning progress reports through the online LeapFrog Learning Path. All Leapster games work with all Leapster systems.

My daughter is really enjoying this game on her Leapster. She's still playing on the first or second level, so I know this game will have some longevity. When she asked me to take a turn and I selected level three, she cautioned that I might not be able to do the math and should start on level one first. She likes finding the lost things to try to build something. And I know that she's honing some of her skills such as number recognition. We like to take the Leapster on long car trips, but it gets quite a bit of play at home as well.

LeapFrog Tag Activity Storybook: Disney FairiesLeapFrog Tag Activity Storybook: Disney Fairies
(From LeapFrog:) Use your Tag Reader to bring this story to life! Tinker Bell longs for a new talent that will take her to the Mainland. Read along in this magical tale as Tinker Bell discovers that being true to herself will take her furthest of all. After the story, play learning activities that help build vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Children can earn online rewards and parents can connect the Tag Reader to the online LeapFrog Learning Path to see what their child is playing and learning.

As with all the Tag books, my daughter loves that the stories come to life and that she can read them to herself. She really loves the freedom of "reading" books on her own and it's only a matter of time before she can read the words herself. She likes that everything you touch with the pen reacts with words, music, or a sound effect. She's read this one over and over.

If you haven't done so already, enter to win a LeapFrog Tag system and the two sets of Learn to Read Books. Enter by September 21, 2009.

This was written by Leighann who can be read at Multi-Minding Mom where she dishes about family, food, foraging, frivolity, and more! She loves fairies, but not princesses. Unless they are saving the prince, of course.
