We are in the early stages of potty training our two-year-old. I've been through this before and learned a thing or two in the process. Not that wisdom will make it any quicker! There is no magic bullet!But I have found a product that may make it a little less messy: Bambino Mio training pants.
With my first child I purchased a supply of training pants that were cotton and a little more absorbent than regular underpants. But even with the training pants, when she peed I had a mess everywhere. I even bought plastic pants to put over them, which only made her sweaty. Not to mention that they looked ridiculous!

When my son wears them, the majority of the time I can tell that he peed and change him. I have had a few instances where he peed so much that it soaked through to the outer layer.
