When I had the chance to review the Step2 Water Rush Quarry, I really put it through the paces. Not only did I let my kids play with it, I packed it up and brought it to my children's day care center to share it with them. All fifteen, wild, loud, jumping, messy (and lovely) kids.
Taking a sand/water table to a new level, the Water Rush Quarry has a multi-level, durable construction that features a cascade of water from the top to the bottom like a flowing river. We know kids like to play with water and this is a great alternative to a flat water sensory table.
As I watched the kids play I noticed there was something for everyone. There are two separate areas for sand, one at the top and one at the bottom so no one had to fight (or cry) for a spot in the sandbox. When fully extended there was easily room for four of five friends to play together and having a tunnel for cars, a working crane, shovel and construction vehicles gave everyone something to play with.
I especially liked how Step2 made this collapsible, so that if it's too cold for water you can still play with the cars on the track.
