Earth Day is upon us and our friends at Sesame Street are helping kids learn what it means to be good to our planet.In the new DVD Sesame Street: Being Green
, join Abby Cadabby and Elmo as they help host the Earth-a-Thon. Paul Rudd is an "actor" who plays the planet Earth (pretty funny, actually). Earth helps Abby and Elmo discover ways to conserve and recycle, making the planet a great place to live.When Elmo says that he would like to be more green, Abby accidently turns him green! But don't worry, Abby works her magic in the end.
Even Oscar the Grouch gets in on the action (against his will, but he is eco-friendly nonetheless).

This DVD is timely and can definitely help explain to the preschool set what it means to be green and the importance of Earth Day. Even my daughter took away a valuable lesson, implementing what she learned. (Listen to the podcast to see what she did the day after watching the DVD.)
