I have had allergies for as long as I can remember. Horrible allergies to dust, which is almost impossible to escape at home or at work.One thing that an allergist recommended to me years ago was to encase my bedding in protective covers. I have my mattress and box spring encased, as well as my pillows. I also wash my bedding in HOT water to kill any dust mites.
We spend so much of our lives in bed (hopefully getting a good night's sleep). And I really think that encasing my mattress and pillows helps keep those pesky mites at bay.
In fact, when I travel I can tell the difference. I wake us stuffy, especially if I have forgotten to bring my own pillow!
