You've no doubt seen felt boards being used by teachers at story time. Kids seem to love watching the grown up tell a story and add and remove characters and scenery as the story unfolds.
Little did I know that there is a whole world of felt activities for playtime.
If you go to the Story Time Felts website, yes you will see lots of different story boards and even the infamous weather bear (now I am going to have the "What's the weather like today?" song in my head!). But what I like are the felt dress-up dolls. The dress-up dolls are available in every ethnicity, boy or girl, and toddler and child.
And the dolls come with a ton of clothes. I'm serious. Name the occasion and there is surely an outfit for the doll. Dance recital, sailor suit, Halloween costume, skating. Formal and casual. Every color of the rainbow. I'm telling you mom, lots of fashion options!
Unlike paper dress-up dolls, these made from felt are sturdy and will stand up to your child over time. And they are certainly a hit in our house.

I want to thank Story Time Felts for not only providing me with a dress-up doll set for my children to play with, but also for their generosity in giving us sets to give to less fortunate, local children this holiday season. Thank you.
