My son is old enough to feed himself snacks, but not old enough to keep from leaving a trail of Cheerios everywhere he goes. I finally had enough when he was found on the kitchen floor in the middle of a huge mound of cereal. I guess I should be proud that he figured out how to unscrew the cap of the container. Fine motor skills and reasoning, right?I began looking for a snack cup that would allow him to eat on the go but not make such big messes. The cup I found (pleasantly) surprised me in so many ways.
The Munchie Mug is a plastic snack cup with a screw on top. The top has overlapping fabric that the child reaches through to retrieve the snack, pulling out no more than a handful at a time. Turn the mug over and nothing spills out.
One morning my niece, who is roughly the same age as my son, was over and the two spent the morning passing the Munchie Mug back and forth sharing their snack. It was pretty darn cute.
