Yoplait Kids Yogurt (the ones with Dora and Diego!)

It's a little eerie how these PBN products have dropped into my life so serendipitously this summer. First we had the Hanes underwear so perfect for a tender little waistline, and now we have Yoplait yogurt: another must-have for a post-infection, antibiotic-crammed little gut. We needed to rebuild the healthy bacteria in our 6-year-old's body, and yogurt is the perfect choice. The only problem: Too much sugar, and we'd undo all the goodness of yogurt (hello, digestive unpleasantness).

Thankfully, Yoplait has less sugar than other kids' yogurts. I don't know about you, but when I am standing in front of a huge display of products and trying to scan nutritional labels, I usually just grab the first one I can find that isn't horrible. Now I'll know to just go straight to the Yoplait. Plus, on top of the usual goodies found in yogurt (calcium, vitamin D, protein, the probiotics I mentioned above), the Yoplait products also have 16 mg of DHA. This is an omega-3 fatty acid that helps build kids' brains--definitely a can't-hurt-might-help kind of ingredient in my book.

Right now, my kids are into the spoonable stuff and they are quite partial to the strawberry vanilla flavor. (I won't make the mistake of buying the banana/vanilla combo pack again--all the bananas are sitting uneaten.) Yoplait also makes a drinkable yogurt, which comes in handy as a portable snack or treat too.

Ready to try for yourself--I mean, your kids? Print out a coupon good for $1.50 off. Or ...
