Big Idea Inc. promotes "Sunday morning values, Saturday morning fun". I'm all for teaching values and reinforcing the importance of helping others. My only concern with this video is that while it delivers great message, personally, I would not choose a kids video to introduce the concept of "sin", which appears in the DVD during an end of story re-cap as told by the characters.
My pre-schooler has watched this again and again and thoroughly enjoys it. He laughs and sings and I'll admit the tunes are contagious - I even find myself signing along. The video is peppered with educational information; It introduces the Mississippi, homesteading - even taxes. This story is educational and fun for little ones and big kids too.
