Metromint Water: Another Alternative to Diet Soda

In my quest to find liquids without fake sugar, I also sampled Metromint water. I have a confession to make, I don't love water. I know I should drink it, and before I gave up fake sugar I could get by with Crystal Light or Propel, but both of those have sweeteners in it. I was excited to find a flavored water without artificial sweeteners.

I really, really liked Metromint water. There are 6 varieties, peppermint, spearmint, lemonmint, orangemint, chocolatemint, and cherry mint. They all have a "cooling scale" on the bottle, which is because mint gives you a cooling sensation. They are rated by how much they will cool you down. Because of this, I really liked the peppermint and spearmint at the gym. It did make you feel cooler instantly. And the chocolatemint is perfect for a mid afternoon pick me up, when you feel like you need a little something but don't want to waste a lot of calories.

Metromint is more readily available than Zevia, which I reviewed yesterday. I found it at my local Whole Foods. They also have an online store and store finder as well. I think it is a wonderful alternative to sugary sports drinks or their siblings that are sweetened with artificial junk. Metromint is mintwater, nothing but pure water and real mint.
