I was recently sent a CD from Baby Loves Hip Hop called Dino 5. My husband called it a "hip hop concept album about dinosaurs for kids." He could not have been more correct. And my 3 year old loves it. Thank goodness because if I had to listen to Elmo again I might lose my mind.
The cd starts out with a mom reading a child a bedtime story, about a band of dinosaurs. The CD then alternates parts of the story and the dinosaurs singing. My son is obsessed with both dinosaurs and music, and loves having "his own music." It was also tolerable for the adults in the car to listen to over, and over, and over again.
I appreciated the fact that the characters were made to sound multi-cultural as well, with both male and female dinosaurs present. The story itself is one of acceptance and not judging a book by it's cover. The music is upbeat, happy, and fun. Successful hip hop artists were used to record the dinosaurs' music. The packaging is adorable and my son loves to hold it in the car.
I think Dino 5 is a great addition to our car music collection. I look forward to more releases in this series.

I will have to check this out for my little hip hopper (going on 4 years old, but he has so much angst already).
Veganlinda-Michael is in love with it and begs for it everytime we get in the car.
