I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that Santa was very generous this year. And he also had some very stiff competition from the grandmas. So what'd we get ... and what'd we like?
The 2-year-old boy
Loves: Paz's lift-off rocket, an airport playset similar to this one, and an indoor/outdoor croquet set intended for his sister.
Ignores: A weird toy robot named Toby that counts and says the ABCs, but is not interactive at all. What is the point?
The 5-year-old girl
Loves: A small weaving loom (I swear she said "this is better than watching TV." Unheard of), a Perler bead kit, and half a dozen Magic Tree House books.
Ignores: The #*()&@ Moon Sand she begged for (actually I'm glad she doesn't want to play with it--what a mess!).
The whole family
Loves: Cranium's Hullabaloo
The 30-something dad
Loves: The Tempur-Pedic neck pillow (I continue to spread the gospel.)
Will regift: The giveaway Car Talk baseball cap
The 30-something mom
Loves: The Blend Creations gift certificate. I haven't spent it yet--still trying to choose among these Japanese washi paper necklaces.
Already returned: The bulky turtleneck sweater that was a pretty color, but made me look a good 20 pounds heavier
How about you?
