DaBib is DaBomb

My baby is in the middle of two developmental milestones: teething and starting solids.

Here's one baby product that's helping me with both: DaBib.

I know, you've already got bibs. But let me tell you what I like about this one.

One side of the Hugs bib is a soft micro-fiber terry and the other is waterproof. With teething comes drool. I've nicknamed the baby both "drool bucket" and "the juice." (The local college quarterback is called Juice.) The microfiber is very soft and because the back is waterproof, his shirts don't get soaked.

I also gave the bib the "carrot test." Yes, like babies across America his first food, other than cereal, was smooshed carrots. I put the bib on the baby with the waterproof side out for feeding. And, what do you know, the carrots wipe right off. I am able to use the bib for multiple feedings in a day. And on my 6-month-old the bib is large enough to cover his entire torso. I have not had to change his shirt once after a feeding while using this bib.

I have also washed and dried the bib many times. It didn't shrink or lose it's shape. I have other bibs that are machine washable but that have to air dry, which is a pain because you have to actually think as you sleepily put the laundry in the drier (or worse yet: yell instructions to your husband down the basement stairs).

It also folds compactly. Some other bibs are rigid and not easy to throw in a diaper bag or are too stiff to wad up and throw in.

According to their site, this is what makes their bibs unique:

Adjustable Scrunch collar stops leaks. Super absorbent, shrink-resistant, micro-fiber terry face soaks up spills. Waterproof backing protects baby’s clothing. Easy fastening front attach velcro collar. Extra large hour glass shape protects babies of all sizes. Hide-away food pouch catches crumbs and drips. Made of environmentally friendly materials, non-toxic, and completely lead-free, DaBib is the perfect gift for the new parent!

I have to agree!

They also sell a bib called Giggles that is waterproof on both sides and a burp cloth called DaBurp. Their products retail for $12.99 each.

Want to give this bib a try? They are offering free shipping in the U.S. with three or more orders. Just enter the code FREE SHIPPING.

WANT TO WIN IT? Congratulations Bree. She won the DaBib.

(This was written by Leeanthro who can be read at Soy is the New Black where she dishes about family, food, foraging, and frivolity. While many of the products she discusses are sold only through boutique or specialty stores, some are widely available at national stores and online.)

What a great bib! We've been looking for one. I've had others that have shredded in the wash or not held up and this sounds great!

My daughter has reflux and is a major spitter upper, plus all the drooling. We go through at least 2 outfits a day and several bibs. This bib would definitely cut down on my laundry!

My daughter needs a few of these. She's small and normal bibs don't fit tightly enough around her neck, so she always ends up with food on her collar.

I love that it folds up easily.

My little one is 4 1/2 months and is drooling like crazy! This would be perfect for him!

Please count me in. We are past the first foods but now we are on to feeding himself and teething...How fun (i never understood how food got in the hair until now), this won't help that problem, but it will drastically count down on the cleaning time.
